  2. You have to also provide your SSN (Social Security Number).

Walmart Check cashing Fees and Limits

So, Walmart charges $4 as transaction fees for cashing checks up to the amount of $1000 and a fee of $8 for cashing an amount between $1001 and $5000.

Whereas in the case of two-party personal checks, Walmart only allows the maximum amount to cash $200 for which $6 will be charged as the transaction fees.

And if you are cashing your check of amount more than $5000 during the January to April period, Walmart will check with their customer service department to know the maximum fees.

You can also reload your prepaid Walmart MoneyCard with the cash you received after cashing the check for which you will not be charged any reload fee which is of $3.

Walmart sets the limit at $5000 for a single check cashing transactions. But Walmart has increased this limit temporarily to $7500 for the period of January to April.

However, Walmart has limited the check-cashing transactions to 3 in a day for the amount of less than $5000.
